i don't feel seventeen.
seventeen is SO not a landmark year. it's not like 16 when you can look forward to watching nc16 movies. or 18 when you can drive a car and be recognized as a full-fledged adult. being 17 is being stuck in the middle of two gigantic damn-big-deal birthday.
so being seventeen is like floating around.
tilt your head. this is what max pavillion looks like without the crowd.
if you squint your eyes, you can make out the words FALL OUT BOY on this banner.
that's jimmy from Saw Loser. HWAT STUFF!
my fave picture of a rawkin' concert! :))
need i say more?
So the dear boys of fall out boy came left their marks on us. Damn that was one hard-rocking concert!
The people present (not including me, Michelle and Rachel) were very excited and a mosh pit was formed even before the whole thing started. I fell at one stage and lost an earring!
Anyway, there were two opening acts that night, an Indonesian band called One Buck Short who overstayed their welcome, and, of course, Saw Loser!!! We were treated to some eye candy in the form of Jimmy, the resident guitarist. Hot stuff.
But obviously not as hot as the Boys when they finally came on ONE AND A HALF HOURS later! By then me, Michelle and Rachel were so tired of the mosh pit that we left it. In contrast the back rows were so calm and a great contrast from the chaos in front. Patrick Stump was doing his thang, totally oblivious to Michelle’s sudden massive crush on him. Pete Wentz was his oh so hot self, doing his spins in sync with Joe Trohman, and introducing all the songs. I loved it when he intro-ed Sugar, We’re Going Down! :)
Fave line: all the boys that the dance floor didn’t love, and all the girls whose lips couldn’t move fast enough, sing until your lungs give out!
My fave part was Dance, Dance because that was when the whole crowd got up and actually danced, danced!
Pete: “How many of you motherfuckers came here to dance?”
Crowd: wolf whistles, cheers
Pete: “How many of you motherfuckers came here to Dance, Dance?!!!”
Cue well-known bass line and Patrick’s rocking vocals
Went home tired but extremely happy. These are some pics I took with my shitty excuse of a camera phone. Will post better pictures when Michelle and Rachel send them to me (hint hint). :) :) :)
